RocketRocketScienceBot
RocketScienceBot reads public news so that our forecasts can weigh what is being reported about each prediction market. This page explains what it does and how to stop it.
How it behaves
- It identifies itself honestly as
RocketScienceBot/1.0 (+https://rocketscince.com/bot). - It obeys
robots.txt. If your rules disallow it, or the file cannot be read, it does not fetch your pages. - It fetches at most one page every 10 seconds from any site, and only a handful of articles per topic.
- Article text is used only to score whether the news points towards YES or NO. It is never republished: we show the headline and link to your page.
Where our data comes from
- News discovery: the GDELT Project, an open news database that is free for commercial use, within its stated rate limit.
- Social posts: Reddit, Bluesky and X through their official APIs only, under each platform's developer terms. We do not scrape their websites.
- Market and price data: the public WebSocket feeds of Polymarket, Kalshi and Coinbase.
